in-person aero testing

Coming to aero test at our Southern California location can help you to get faster, more comfortable, more powerful, and more knowledgable so you can extract the most out of your performances. From position to equipment, we find what’s optimal for each athlete with measurable and applicable results.

What’s included

  • Pre-Test Evaluation

Prior to Aero Testing, we’ll have you send a video of your position to us for an analysis of your current position and equipment. This allows us to pre-plan your visit and prioritize what we believe will be the most important changes to test. This also provides enough time to obtain any equipment we might need to help you obtain your optimal position.

  • Two Test Sessions

Your aero testing includes two full test sessions. This ensures we complete as many tests as possible without fatigue interfering with test results. Since aero testing includes multiple out and back runs, even the top athletes in the world find it tiring. Fatigue is an aero test killer, and can have a measurable effect on your results. Splitting your testing into two sessions allows us to test more, and more accurately.

  • Aero Test Reports

Each test session includes a comprehensive Aero Test Report which lists what was tested, the CdA for each test, average power output, percentage of drag gains or losses, watts lost or gained, yaw angles experienced during each test, and approximate time savings or losses of each change over two different course lengths (i.e. 70.3 or Full Ironman).

Two Aero Test Options

Use our sensor

Our basic aero test service allows you to use our Gibli G10 sensor for your aero testing. We set it up for you, make all the necessary connections, define the test area, advise you on proper protocols, and lead you through the testing insuring the results are valid and accurate.

Your aero testing will typically be split into two aero test sessions at no extra charge. We’ve found it far more beneficial to keep fatigue to a minimum for the best possible results. The two sessions should not be conducted on the same day, but can be completed on consecutive days.

use your own sensor

In partnership with Gibli, you can purchase your own G10 sensor using our code at checkout. We take you through the entire aero testing process as if you were using our sensor, but our guidance goes beyond conducting the tests by showing you how to properly set up your sensor and the Gibli app, how to conduct the proper calibration, and we teach you how to conduct a test yourself using proper protocols. You leave your time with us with a far better understanding of the aero testing process, and you’re ready to continue your testing when you return home.

In addition to our personal instruction, you’ll also be provided consultation access to us for one year after your test date. We will continue to help you with what to test, data analyzation, and have complete access to our own data as well as the entire Fast or Fiction community.

This is the service we personally recommend.
